Private Photography Workshops

Have you ever been on a photography trip and stood next to someone photographing the same scene, and you wondered why their photos were so much better than yours? The answer is simple. They are outthinking you, not outshooting you.

They have already identified the five (5) critical steps you need to focus on to become a better photographer. What are those five (5) steps?

  • The level of research that should be considered before embarking on any wildlife photo shoot. – We will spend time before we meet to discuss the kind of research that goes into a trip that we are about to take. – Gear, clothing, accessories, location, and subjects.

  • Pre-visualization techniques to help capture the photos you want. – I will work with you on how to pre-visualize the images you want to take on our workshop. We will translate that pre-visualization into actual photos in the field.

  • Making the right critical decisions in the moment of the action. – Your photos are more important than mine. I will be your cheerleader and coach to help you make the right decisions in the moment.

  • The editing techniques to make your images come to life. – We will spend time post–processing our images. We will begin to bring your pre-visualized images to life.

  • Learning from the common mistakes made by photographers. – While we are reviewing our images we will spend time identifying teachable moments to help you learn from common photography mistakes.

By the time we are done our trip, I will have you outthinking everyone that happens to stand next to you in the future

Testimonials From Previous Attendees

This was my second trip with Kevin. I really like his low key attitude and willingness to prioritize our photos over his. Without hesitation, I would tell you he was willing to do what it took to get shots for us. I have been on other trips where that was not the case.

I’ve been on several photography trips with Kevin. He has been reliable and willing to go the extra distance for his clients. He is very knowledgeable about the destinations and is a wonderful photographer. Always a fun experience, as well as informative. Highly recommended.

What is the price of this kind of photo holiday?

Important TO READ

Don’t shy away from talking to me because you think “Private” equals expensive. It’s really not the case for a couple of reasons. (1) we have preferred rates with the partners I use. The rates we get for rentals, tours, and accommodation are far less than you would pay. (2) we schedule my private trips around my group workshops. That allows for beneficial cost-sharing with my transportation costs to get to locations. (3) My day rate for private trips is not as high as they are for group trips. You will be surprised how inexpensive these trips can be.

Pick up that phone and call me, or email me so we can begin talking about your trip.
