Winter Wildlife and Birds of Prey Workshop in Ontario

Join Kevin Pepper in beautiful rural Ontario, Canada to shoot the amazing owls and other birds of prey. We have exclusive access to some of the best areas, and local guides that will bring us right to where the owls are, and we will get you in position to get beautiful wildlife imagery. Kevin will instruct both in the classroom and in the field on best practices for wildlife photography, catching the birds in flight, and more. We'll feature image reviews and critiques, as well as post-processing instruction in Lightroom.

You will be captivated by the snowy owls' mesmerizing eyes and witness the stealth flight and the subsequent attack on the unsuspecting voles and rodents they feed upon. I will get you close enough so that you can shoot with lenses from a 70-200mm to fill the entire frame upon attack of their target, to as long as a 500mm telephoto to capture the acrobatic turns and wing action while in flight.

This workshop is designed to give you great opportunities to photograph the owls on some private properties not accessible to the general public. We will also be on some public properties and in Provincial Parks. I will strive to take you to the locations away from the local birders and photographers that line the side of the roads, looking from afar, and assist you with exposure, compensation, metering, focus tracking and more. Winter Owl and Wildlife photography is one of the most challenging conditions you may face, cold winds, blowing snow, but we will make sure you are ready.
